Collection and equalisation Wastewater is collected and blended so the plant receives a steady flow and load.
Screening and oil removal Screens and skimmers remove coarse solids, oil and grease.
Chemical treatment Coagulants and flocculants are dosed to bind fine particles and dissolved pollutants into settleable flocs.
Primary clarification Flocs settle out as sludge, leaving clearer water.
Biological treatment Microorganisms break down organic matter in aeration tanks.
Polishing and discharge or reuse Filtration and disinfection prepare the water for discharge or reuse, while sludge is dewatered for disposal.
